Job description

The Document Controller / Project Administrators main responsibility will be to maintain, examine and manage all maintains and examines related files to release blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents to manufacturing and other operating departments relating to a particular project and that are easily accessible and stored

Ø Essential to have experience of using Four Projects and BIW document control system for recording incoming drawings/correspondence.
Ø Chasing comments from drawing recording all details onto Four Projects or BIW systems.
Ø Coordinate all activities related to the Document Control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.
Ø Input document data into the standard registers ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date.
Ø Makes sure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable
Ø Maintain updated records of all approved documents and drawings and their distribution clearly
Ø Maintain the documents and drawings in the Document Control office under safe custody without any damage or deterioration with easy traceability.
Ø Generate the various Site and Document Control reports as required.
Ø Typing of site documents, and follow up of all the site needs including Health and Safety files and incidents
Ø Maintain the files and control logs as required by the project with excellent all round IT skills (literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ø Support to the Senior Management team and to attend management / team meetings; taking notes, coordinate rooms, refreshments and meeting papers as required

Requirements
· You must possess strong self management and time management skills and be used to working in a fast paced environment with speed and accuracy.
· Excellent IT skills and conversant with Excel
· Organised and able to work well under pressure and multi-task
· Strong communication skills
