Job description

My client are a large blue chip multifaceted organisation who are looking for an experienced sales manager / director to join them in there London head office and help with the continued development and growth of the construction services business stream.

You will need to be someone who can demonstrate the development and delivery of a sustainable pipeline of opportunities and ultimately have the ability to close a deal.

You will be looking to sell a wide range of technical and commercial consultancy services and to develop high value, big ticket, multi-disciplined contracts that transform our clients businesses. Experience and knowledge of any of the following target property and infrastructure markets will be a distinct advantage:

Residential and social housing
Corporate/ commercial occupier and/ or property investors
Transportation road, rail
Utilities
Defence
Higher Education
Industrial and process industries e.g. chemicals, food

- What you will do:

Identify and develop sales opportunities

Liaise with potential clients on their requirements

Lead on bids proposals and tenders for new business

Consult and on existing projects to develop new sales opportunities

Provide presentations to stakeholders and clients

- Your experience will include:

Excellent track record of successfully identifying, developing and delivering a pipeline of sales

Previous experience in technical consultancy, construction, property or infrastructure this is not essential but would be highly beneficial.

Previous experience of bidding and winning business from procurement frameworks in the public and private sectors is desirable.

Excellent inter-personal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Experienced in consultative selling techniques.

Ability to prioritise and plan effective sales activities to rapidly build a quality pipeline of sustainable and profitable work in the target market sectors.

Ability to develop and communicate winning proposals and fully understand the clients detailed requirements and selection criteria.

Confident presenter with excellent listening skills.

Positive and self motivated, enjoys challenges and has the ability to understand complex client requirements.

Can do” and “hands on” attitude.
