Our client a Major UK & Ireland civil engineering contractor is seeking a site based HSE Advisor to work in the Derby area on a large scale civil engineering project.
The company operates as a principle contractor has a turnover of circa £600 Million per annum, employs well over 2,000 direct members of staff and has a future order book of work in excess of £1.2 Billion and has 13 offices UK wide.
We are seeking applicants that have a wealth of experience of working specifically for principle or main contract civil engineering construction companies that have from a Health, Safety and Environmental perspective to oversee both direct and sub contract construction staff. This is a site based role working on a very large scale project which has circa 4 years to completion on site however the contractor has offices in the Midlands which you will work out of at the end of this project. The minimum qualifications required to do the role are:
Ø NEBOSH General, Construction Certificate
Ø CITB SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
Ø General construction environmental awareness
Ø General construction quality awareness
Ø Excellent organisation skills
Ø Excellent communication skills
Ø Be IT literate with good presentation skills
The role will entail implementing the main contractors HSE regulations on site, site inductions, maintaining HSE files, site walk-rounds and inspections.
