Job Description

We are seeking a permanent Civils Estimator to work for a very well established highly reputable regional civil engineering contractor based in the North East of England.

The organisation has a turnover in excess of 30 Million per annum, employs over 200 direct members of staff and specialises in roads and Sewers, Infrastructure Works, Land Remediation, Bulk Earthworks, Structural Concrete and Sub-structure works including foundations, drainage, external works and Hard landscaping. Our client directly for developers implementing full infrastructure packages to turn green and brown field sites into new build housing estates. Their project range from 150,000 – 5 Million in value and the often have 40 lives sites at any one time across the North East and North Yorkshire areas.

The Estimator will be responsible for tender preparation from received enquiries, including preparation of bills of quantities from drawings and specification, pricing and submission to the Client.

Duties will include:

Completing tender projects utilising issued bills of quantities, within the required time frame.
Client management
Lead time and deadline management
Purchase order, invoice and budget management

Key Requirements:

A minimum of four years practical work experience as an assistant Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Experience in civil engineering & infrastructure sector is desirable.
