Job Description

We are working closely with our client based in County Durham who design and manufacture of a variety of products. We are assisting the client in the search for a design engineer on a full time, permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the design of specified steel products.

Responsibilities
•Using AutoCAD to design bespoke stell products to customer specifications, considering manufacturability, strength requirements and current regulations
•Liaising with architects, engineers and the end user to identify requirements
•Troubleshoot design, manufacturing and on-site issues
•Produce fabrication drawings and Bills of Materials to be used by production
•Project manage multiple design activities from customer specification to site

Person Specification
•Degree (or equivalent) in engineering or design
•Experienced using AutoCAD or other 2D design packages
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
•Problem solving, attention to detail and flexibility
