Job Description

We are working with our client who are a leading CNC and Manual machining company based in Durham who serve the offshore and renewables industries in the search for an Estimating Engineer on a full time, permanent basis.

You will be responsible for supporting a busy production team and reporting directly to the Sales Director.

Responsibilities
•Utilise sketches and drawings to determine task times in a conventional machine shop
•Interpret detailed repair plans to estimate the cost of service/repair jobs
•Source materials and sub-contract prices
•Collate the above information to complete repair quotes and draft quotations to customers
•Maintain records of calculations in a database; utilise and update said database to improve efficiency

Person Specification
•Full commitment to quality, control and delivery
•Composed, organised and motivated
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word with experience of ERP systems
•Mechanical Engineering background
