Field Service Engineer
Forklift trucks, powered access and related machinery
Redditch
£27,000pa-£30,000pa + vehicle + overtime + call out + benefits

The company is one of the largest manufacturers of industrial vehicles in the world and it has an extensive dealer network here in the UK.

As a result of winning some major long-term business in the Redditch area an excellent opportunity has arisen for a field service engineer to join the team.

Engineers are the most important part of the company’s organisation and if it wasn’t for you then it wouldn’t have a business. You will be treated as such. No two days will be the same and there will be a lot of variety in your role.

Based from home, your job will be to attend customer site breakdowns in and around Redditch and to service and repair a full range of forklift trucks and associated equipment.

Your main duties will include:
• Performing fault diagnostics on LPG, electric and diesel systems
• Conducting repairs on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Overseeing preventative planned maintenance schedules at key customer sites
• Ensuring the highest level of customer service is experienced by the customers

In order for you to perform your role to the highest standards, the company will invest time and money in ensuring you have world class manufacturers product training and the highest levels of ongoing technical support. This will see you broaden your equipment experience and have opportunities to gain additional qualifications as you progress.

The successful field service engineer can come from a range of backgrounds, to include; forklift trucks, construction plant, powered access, agricultural machinery, municipal vehicles or specialist military vehicles and plant.

You will receive an initial basic salary of up to £29,000pa dependent on experience + fully expensed vehicle + overtime + call out + additional benefits (to include; vouchers for birthdays and weddings, a direct telephone medical service and gym and healthcare discounts
