The company is a global supplier of commercial vehicles and ground support equipment to airports and it is the recognised market leader in Europe.
As a result of winning a new major UK wide contract, a number of exciting opportunities have arisen for heavy vehicle fitters to join the team at Edinburgh Airport.
As a HGV Fitter you will be responsible for keeping a fleet of airside vehicles moving and your main responsibilities will include:
Initial fault diagnostics on mechanical and electrical heavy vehicle systems
Service and repair of HGVs, PCVs and other airport vehicles
Preventative planned maintenance
Accurate completion of job associated paperwork
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic airside environment and to work for a genuine market leader in its field.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the service and repair of HGVs or PCVs, however, applicants with experience on any of the following will also be of interest; ground support equipment, heavy military vehicles, construction plant or agricultural machinery.
This is a Monday to Friday only position and based on a 40 hour basic working week.
The successful HGV Technician will receive first class manufacturers product training and ongoing professional and personal development support. This will see you broaden your equipment experience and gain additional qualifications as your career progresses.
Base salary is up to 27,500pa + overtime (at x 1.5) + pension + healthcare + additional benefits.
