The company is one of the worlds largest suppliers of commercial vehicles and ground support equipment to airports in the world and it currently supplies into over 80% of UK airports.
It is an exciting time to join the company as it has recently won a major new contract. This has generated a number of opportunities for heavy vehicle technicians to join the team at Gatwick Airport.
As a HGV technician your job will be to keep the companys fleet of vehicles running. Main duties will include;
Fault diagnosis on mechanical and electrical heavy vehicle systems
Service and repair of fuel trucks, fire lorries and related vehicles
Preventative planned maintenance
Accurate completion of job associated paperwork
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic airside environment and to work for a genuine market leader in its field.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the service and repair of HGVs, however, applicants with experience on any of the following will also be of interest; ground support equipment, heavy military vehicles, construction plant or agricultural machinery.
This is a days based position, Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
The successful HGV Technician will receive first class manufacturers product training and ongoing professional and personal development support. This will see you broaden your equipment experience and gain additional qualifications as your career progresses.
Base salary is up to 36,000pa + overtime (at x 1.5) + pension + healthcare + additional benefits.
