The company is one of the world’s largest dealers for a global manufacturer of construction plant equipment and is a genuine household name.
As a result of securing additional long-term business in Scotland, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a heavy plant mechanic to cover the central belt region.

As a heavy plant mechanic, your job will be to maintain a full range of construction plant equipment to include; diggers, dumpers, excavators, loaders and related machinery.

Your main responsibilities will include:
•Attending customer site breakdowns
•Conducting initial fault diagnostics on a range of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic plant systems
•Performing onsite service and repairs to construction plant machinery and vehicles
•Implementing preventative planned maintenance schedules
•Accurate completion of job associated paperwork
•Customer service

The successful heavy plant mechanic will have previous knowledge in the service and repair of heavy plant, which includes, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, municipal vehicles or specialist military vehicles or plant. You will also have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in plant engineering, servicing and maintenance or equivalent.
