Job Description

My Cleint a leading M&E Contractor in the region currently seeks a Mechanical Estimator to be based in their offices near Newcastle.The company undertakes a variety of different proejcts in the industry inclduing Commercial, Retail and many more.

Responsibilities and Duties
The role will involve the following:
Reviewing client tender information to understand project requirements & scope of works.
Attending site surveys and site meetings to understand project specifics
Issue of sub contract & Material supply enquiries.
Analysis of subtrade & material quotations.
Production of overall summary of costs.
Preparation of tender bids & presentations.
Provision of post tender clarifications.
Qualifications and Skills

You will be suitable for this role if you have:
Qualifications – preferred minimum HNC Building services or equiv.
Demonstratable experience within the mechanical field
Background in Plumbing, Heating & HVAC Systems
IT Skills – Competent with Microsoft Excel, Outlook etc
It Skills – Ensign Estimation or Equiv. (Not critical)
Good Communication skills
Ability to communicate at all levels – via email, phone & in person
Ability to work in a team
Good focus and attention to detail
Self-motivated
Good multi-tasking skills
A proactive, collaborative attitude
