Job Description

We are working with our client who are seeking an HSE Coordinator to join there expanding team.

This is a fantastic role for people looking to get into health and safety as candidates with only small amounts of HSE exposure can be considered for this entry level role with fantastic training given and excellent long-term prospects in the role for progression

You will be based on site Monday to Friday with overtime on offer also

Responsibilities:
•Assist in the development, operation and maintenance of the Safety, Health and Environmental management systems.
•Assist in the development of SHE policies, processes, procedures, and guidance material.
•Assist with periodic site inspections and internal audits.
•Provide support to all areas of the business on safety, health, and environmental matters.
•Maintain all relevant SHE databases and records including (but not limited to) the incident database and reports, Safety Conversation reports, safety briefing sign offs and audit reports.
•Monitor and maintain the Tracker to ensure that allocated actions are recorded, time frames defined, updates are chased, and deadlines communicated so identified owners and actions are closed.
•Maintain COSHH database ensuring records are up to date and communicated.
•Ensure the risk assessment process is implemented and maintained in accordance with the company procedure.
•Maintain collaborative working with the rest of the site departments and attend all meetings as required.
•Ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported, investigated to determine the root cause and corrective actions are agreed and implemented.
•Monitor compliance with the staff control procedure, including ensuring inductions are completed and risk assessments and method statements are received and approved.
•Deliver site H&S inductions when required.
•Attend and deliver safety briefings / toolbox talks as required.
•Identify, support, and drive HS improvement projects and actions.
•Raise awareness of safe methods of working on-site.
•Generate and communicate HS reports as required.

The Person:
•A desire to work within health and safety
•Health and safety qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH advantageous
•Experience in a similar role preferred
•Experience in an engineering or manufacturing / construction environment preferred
