Are you a time-served welder fabricator? Do you have experience with architectural and structural welding and fabrication? Are you looking for role with variety, working on-site on day and in the fabrication shop the next?
My Dunston based client is looking for welder fabricators with experience in the structural and or architectural areas to join their team during a period of growth.
•Fabricate and assemble a variety of metal products, including staircases, automotive components, stillages, and other custom fabrications
•Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately determine project requirements
•Operate and maintain a range of fabrication machinery, such as saws, shears, presses, and welding equipment
•Utilize various fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, welding, and finishing, to achieve precise measurements and desired outcomes
•Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and industry standards
•Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of projects
•Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and practices
•Assist in the development and improvement of fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
•Proven experience as a General Fabricator or similar role in the metal fabrication industry
•Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
•Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, welding, and finishing. MIG essential, TIG beneficial and will increase available rate.
•Experience working with various metals, such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
•Competency in operating fabrication machinery and tools
•Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship
•Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
•Relevant certifications or qualifications in metal fabrication will be an added advantage
