Location: Sunderland
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour PAYE
Hours: 07:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Limited overtime available, paid at x1.5

We are currently recruiting for a Labourer to join an established engineering operation in Sunderland.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience working in an engineering, manufacturing or workshop environment. FLT Counterbalance experience is highly desirable.

The Role

As a Workshop Labourer, your duties will include:

-General labouring and housekeeping duties within the engineering workshop
-Assisting skilled engineers and workshop personnel with day-to-day tasks
-Moving and handling materials around the workshop
-Loading and unloading materials where required
-Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised
-Following health and safety procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

-Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment
-Experience carrying out general labouring or workshop duties
-FLT Counterbalance experience/certification – desirable
-A good attitude towards work and a willingness to learn
-Good awareness of workplace health and safety

-Days only – no night shifts
-Limited overtime available at x1.5
-Duration – Initially 2-4 weeks
