Position: Freelance Site Manager – Student Accommodation Refurbishment
Location: London

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the refurbishment of student accommodation in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major renovation project that will have a positive impact on the lives of students.

Responsibilities:
•Manage and oversee the refurbishment of student accommodation, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
•Develop and implement a clear project plan, including timelines and budget, and communicate this plan to all stakeholders.
•Liaise with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure that work is carried out to the required standards and within the specified timelines.
•Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to on the site, and that all workers have the appropriate training and safety gear.
•Manage the budget effectively, keeping track of all expenses and ensuring that the project stays within budget.
•Ensure that the accommodation is fit for purpose and meets the needs of the students.
•Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including contractors, university officials, and students.

Requirements:
•Previous experience in a similar role, managing construction or refurbishment projects from start to finish.
•Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and implement clear project plans and timelines.
•Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
•Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
•SMSTS, CSCS card and First Aid certification are required.
•Experience working on student accommodation or similar projects would be an advantage.
•Must be based in or willing to work in London. (Accommodation will be provided if you are from out of area)

This role is a freelance role and the client has a strong order book for future projects once this one is complete.
