Job Description

[Rail] Managing Quantity Surveyor – Cumbria
We are working with a leading provider of rail infrastructure and civil engineering solutions based in North West England in the search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the company on a permanent basis. The works typically involved with projects are Earthworks, Structures, Lineside Infrastructure, Drainage, P-Way, Ballast Undercutting and general civils.
The Company holds a Network Rail Principal Contractors Licence and are an approved-On Track Plant Operations Scheme Provider in addition to holding a comprehensive list of RISQS Product Codes.

What we are looking for
Ideally degree qualified
Experience of NEC forms of contract
Experience within the Rail Civil Engineering industry
Responsibilities
The duties of the role will include but are not restricted to:
Controlling Commercial Activity to maximise profit.
Ensuring effective commercial management of a number of live schemes.
Pro-actively monitor cash flow and valuation plan, ensuring applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
Provide accurate monthly reporting of cost and value on the project(s).
Ensuring the timely and accurate measurement and valuation of the works.
Interface with Client representatives as required.
