Site Agent – Contract 300 – 400 per day – North Lincolnshire
Our client is seeking an experience civil engineering contractor biased Site Agent to oversee an extension and New build to a National Power Grid Sub Station in the North Lincolnshire area
Our client is a regional civil engineering contract that employs just short of 100 direct members of staff and has a turnover circa 12 Million per annum and operates as a principle contractor undertaking general civil engineering and groundworks packages to the industrial, power and petrochemicals markets.
We are seeking a Site Agent that either holds a valid BESC ticket or has had this or a similar qualification before but it may have expired but has a proven background of building new or adding extensions specifically to sub stations and is up to speed with the rules and regulations of doing construction works on National Power Grid sites.
The Site Agents responsibilities will include day to day management of the construction project which is an extension to an existing substation to house more switch gear as well as a new build within a National power grid compound. Our client being the civil engineering contractor and principle contractor for the project is seeking a civils biased manager to oversee the foundations for the steel frame, ducting, concrete cable troughs and general groundworks for the site. The role is a client facing role and will entail managing direct and sub contract staff, updating the rolling programme of works using Project commander, Riskmethod statements, produce weekly progress reports, manage temporary works and deal with any client technical queries. Essential qualifications include SMSTS or IOSH, CSCS card and HNC or higher in a civil engineering profession (Not electrical or mechanical)
The project will last just over 6 months in duration however our client has another similar and larger project to move onto after this. The role offers a competitive salary or day rate and benefits depending on the level of your experience and current remuneration and package.
